Entrepreneurial action always means seizing opportunities before others seize the chance and close the gap in the offering.<\/p>

However, it also means weighing up what is necessary to preserve the opportunity and which risks are consciously taken.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

However, the company will have a group of experts with different specializations and characters whose input – if desired – should be incorporated into the weighing up of opportunities and risks,<\/p>

For the organization, this means that a process of weighing up opportunities and risks in a foreseeable manner must be demonstrated .<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

My recommendation is to see the weighing up of opportunities and risks as part of the change process.<\/p>

The management’s decision will never be without risk. But the risk can be viewed by \u00a0three simple rules:<\/p>

1) Don’t turn the risk consideration of a new opportunity into a killer for any change.<\/p>

2) Preserve the opportunities by evaluating the risk on the basis of available facts and analyses wherever possible.<\/p>

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It is not a question of countering hopes and wishes with opinions and prejudices, but with reliable facts.<\/p>

3) Anticipate possible risky scenarios. \u00a0Jointly thinking about plausible scenarios is the first step. Such preparation makes a decision easier and shortens necessary reaction times.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
