10 years ago I had the pleasure to be part of a small, decicive team with the task to select a CAQ system for advanced quality planning and audit in a globally active enterprise and then to do the implementation.<\/p>

Even today in some places the digitalization is to use an office tool package for each and everything.<\/p>

Office is a powerful toolset. But to support the use and analysis of data it is strongly limited.<\/p>

There is a reasonably large number of potential tools. Some sales people explain every task to be solved immediately , in the standard package, without any training.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Please be aware: Software must fit for your company, for your organization, for your processes.
In most cases this needs company specific alignments.
Software fitting without alignment would be a – not expectable – piece of luck.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

You should be clear about,<\/p>

  • how your processes work.<\/li>
  • Which steps shall be digitalized?<\/li>
  • From which systems will the needed data come and where will results go to and will be reported?<\/li>
  • Which data need to be compacted and summarizied for the management or as a KPI?<\/li>
  • Is there a place for true data? Or does the company have several places \/ databases of similar data from different sources, all competing to show the truth?<\/li>
  • Are there machines to deliver data (e.g. CAD system, 3D measurement units, interfaces for operational data, scanners, test results)<\/li>
  • How to connect and network these sources with your software?<\/li>
  • What is the rating by the company IT?<\/li>
  • Are the proposals fitting into an overall concept?<\/li>
  • What is about data security, access rights, multi client capability?<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Since a few years a next criterium has ranked up for tool selection: The use of AI in the IT application.<\/p>

    • What is the support by AI in the application?<\/li>
    • What is the commercial advantage\u00a0 of AI features?<\/li>
    • How reliable is the information provided by the AI?<\/li>
    • Stay confidential information confidential and limited in access to authorized rolls?\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

      My offer is to make my experience as a developer, administrator and trainer in tool selection and AI tool features available for your digitalization project.<\/p>

      The implementation of a new software is an investment and it has follow up costs.
      I will consult you to keep main criteria in the scope of consideration and rating. This will ensure a good decision and will prevent a bad wake up.<\/p>

      Since 2023 I have been intensively involved in AI support of engieneering software.<\/p>
